Jaipur Information
This famous city is the capital of Rajasthan and has earned universal renown
as the " Pink City ", and pink it is, with beautiful constructed palaces,
havelis and forts.
Amer Fort: At a short distance of 11 kms . from Jaipur, the Amer Fort complex
stands amidst wooded hills overlooking the Delhi-Jaipur highway, with its forbidding
ramparts reflected in the still waters of the Maota Lake below.
Jaipur Fairs & Festivals
Gangaur: Young girls and newly married women praying for their loved one or
husband respectively, offer prayers to Goddess Parvati in spring (March-April).
A colourful procession follows the silver and gold palanquins of Goddess Parvati
brought out from the City Palace.
Sanganer: 12 km on Tonk Road. It has beautiful Jain temples and important craft
industries besides the ruined palaces, broken city walls, triple gateway and
a neglected Mughal garden. Large and small units of block and screen printers
produce some of the finest hand printed textile in the country.

famous throughout India and abroad.

Jauhari Bazar: This is where you can buy jewellery and tie and dye sarees. Two
lanes joining the mainroad Gopalji ka Rasta and Haldion ka Rasta house numerous
establishment selling jewellery. On the main road itself you find many silversmiths.
Theatres: Welcomgroup Rajputana Palace Sheraton Every evening from 7.00 pm to
9.00 pm in the wit-out area. The show includes Kalbelia Dancers,Puppeteers &
Bhopa- Bhopi, which displays Rajasthan's rich heritage.
Air : The Jaipur Airport is called Sanganer Airport . There are domestic flight
connections to Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jodhpur and Udaipur. There
is a single international flight to Dubai.
